【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedforuseprimarilyasameansofcomparingtheperformanceofunitizingfilms.Itcanalsobeusedtocomparetheeffectivenessofdifferentwrapcycleswiththesamewrappingmaterials.Nodirectcorrelationbetweenthesetestresultsandactualfieldperformancehasbeenestablished.Thistestmethodsimulatesmechanicalhandlinganticipatedduringalldistributionphases.Thistestmethodleavesopentothediscretionoftheusertheestablishmentoftestlevelsandnumbersofcyclesconstitutingthetest,sothattheusermighttailorthetesttosimulateaparticulardistributionenvironment.Thesectiononmechanicalhandlingover100pounds(45kg)inPracticeD4169mayprovidesomeguidanceinthisregard.1.1Thistestmethodcoversevaluationandcomparisonoftheabilityofunitizingfilmstosurvivevariousmethodsofmechanicalhandling.1.2Thetestmethoddescribedisapplicabletocommonmeansofmaterialhandling,includingthefollowing:forklift,push/pull,clamptruck,crane,andspadelift-typehandlingsystems.1.3Thetestlevelsmaybevariedtoreflectknownlevelsofintensityaccuratelyforthespecificunitloadundertesting.1.4ThemethodologyofperformingthemechanicalhandlingtestsisdescribedindetailinTestMethodsD6055andTestMethodsD6179.Thistestmethodwilldescribeonlysamplepreparationandevaluationinthespecialcaseofevaluatingtheperformanceofstretchfilmforloadunitizing.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
